Dan Gilbert talks about happiness. Which I clumsily reviewed here.

  • Mike,
the talk is interesting and I have listened to it all. In a way he is showing that something that it is more or less known, that is happiness depends also on us and not only on what surrounds us, has roots also in how the the parts of our brain we are not conscious of work - quite amazing the experiment with people that suffer from amnesia, for example.

  • Yeah I agree. The best thing about his book is the experiments he describes. They are very counter-intuitive.
