Old Tech Books
Suppose civilization collapsed, and you survived. As an over specialized modern, it would be a struggle to rebuild civilization - up to that apocalyptic moment at least. If you wanted to, you could read these old books and learn how to make vacuum tube amplifiers.

Generally in any apocalyptic situation you'd probably be more more worried about finding uncontaminated drinking water, fending off giant cochroaches, etc. before building a computer the size of ones living room.
Also, this begs the question, how is one supposed to access these [i]online[/i] documents in any technological armageddon?
I suppose one could print them out ahead of time and store them with all that drinking water and roach repellant.
