Red Shoe Blue Shoe

Here's a very short political test to see what color you happen to bleed, in case you've never been cut and don't know. Note that of the 7+ million times that the test has been taken, ~33% score libertarian. The message here isn't that many Americans are libertarians, because they aren't. Rather, people who use the internet are anomalous and of minor consequence.

  • I know one person that though himself a conservative and after taking the test was surprised tio find himself a liberal. There are two possible explanations.

    1) The test questions and scoring are biased

    2) People at the University have no idea of what it means being a conservative

  • 3) 8 questions isn't enough?

  • BTW, that's what Dick Van Patton doesn't think.

  • Sorry, I omitted to say that the guy had taken another test, with many more questions (the political compass: http://politicalcompass.jpagel.net/) and well it turned out that everyone at the University is a liberal, including the guy that thought of himself as a conservative.

  • Apparently I'm a CENTRIST. What the hell is a centerist? It's a two party system, so now I'm supposed to go ahead and throw my vote away!?

    DEFINITION
    ============

    CENTRISTS espouse a "middle ground" regarding government control of the economy and personal behavior. Depending on the issue, they sometimes favor government intervention and sometimes support individual freedom of choice. Centrists pride themselves on keeping an open mind, tend to oppose "political extremes," and emphasize what they describe as "practical" solutions to problems.

  • I reiterate: the politics of internet users are inconsequential.
