Out in the sticks
Sorry for going dark, but I've been out in the sticks for work, getting my Patrick McManus on, near Lake Ozette. It's a dirty job but someone's got to do it. April is not the kindest season to visit a place where 100 inches of rain per year is called a drought. And coincidentally, we got the first April snow in 30 years while we were there. Fortunately, my soggy youth in the explorer scouts had left me with the necessary accoutrement.
I recommend visiting the Pacific Coast beaches, but doing so in September would be best, as you'll miss the hoards, but still have nice weather.
