scoring at home

According to this 1940's TIME magazine cartoon, I am 36% high-brow, 46% upper middle-brow, and 9% eacg lower middle-brow and low-brow.  The percentages shift a little if I'm allowed to pick more than one drink...  pretty ecumenical when it comes to that, actually.

a bit of mavenry

The Chaos Poem

Dearest creature in creation
Studying English pronunciation,
I will teach you in my verse
Sounds like corpse, corps, horse and worse.
I will keep you, Susy, busy,
Make your head with heat grow dizzy;
Tear in eye, your dress you'll tear;
Queer, fair seer, hear my prayer.
[...]

It goes on like that, near as I can tell, forever... Hey, it would be a good way to practice for a vocabulary exam.

Ah, modern life

On one hand, printers can be annoying... on the other, if toner cartridges are the biggest problem you face, the rest of the world - for all of recorded history - would like to offer you some perspective.
